The first Divine Healing Prayers was conducted in the year 1994.

When in the areas of Virar and Vasai there was strong holds of the Anti Christian communities and there was no evangelism God spoke to Pastor Ashok Karkera through a vision to arrange this three days Open Air Meeting. There was no support from any local community or neither from the surrounding churches also as it was a very new area and people was afraid of the mafias dwelling here.

But God spoke to Pas. Ashok go ahead and I will provide all the needs for this meetings. As Pastor Ashok prayed and went further to arrange for this crusade no one turned to help.

The announcements were made and dates were declared but still their was nothing arranged, the days went by and Pastor was praying for God to open doors even last night before the day of crusade there was no funds available. As the day arrived two pastors came forward to help with the arrangements, a musical instruments company based 45Kms (Andheri) away arrived with all their equipments and the people from various churches came forward and booked the ground and prepared stage and also placed chairs in the ground.

It was miracles happening even before the crusade could begun, some auto rickshaw owner gave his rickshaw for the three days to announce about the meeting in all the surrounding areas on loud speakers. Musicians, Worship leaders, choir group and volunteers gathered to support.

One of the believers made a huge stage background banner flashing, “The blind sees, the deaf hears and the lame walks….” And as the meeting proceeded God confirmed this verse and astounding miracles took place and over 2000 people attended this meeting everyday.

The area where there was such intense pressure from anti Christian communal groups this was hand of God to deliver His own people. People came forward to testify the blind eyes from 25 years were open; a girl deaf and dumb from birth could hear and speak after 18 years and a women's legs suppose to be imputed was completely healed. And since then this has never stopped God has been working and He is still doing wonders every year by year as DHP crusades are conducted in local and also in the areas of several different states of nation wide.

Now God is using this ministry mightily to bring revivals and church growth in the different states of India . And on the invitation of the local churches from various states the DHP evangelism team travels and conducts the Divine Healing Crusades in their areas.
